Clariti Group has won a 12-month extension contract with the Remote Schools Attendance Strategy for the third year in a row to capacity building training and education programs to teams and leaders. The training will focus on leadership, resilience along with creating motivated engaged and flourishing workplaces. The 2015 interim report of the schools we have worked with indicates that all schools have achieved a marked increased in measures on school attendance and highlights the quality of the teams and schools working together, the community support and the quality of training and support provided. A huge congratulations to every one involved in this tremendous effort.
The Remote Schools Attendance Strategy (RSAS) is a collaboration between the Australian Government and 84 remote communities in some of the most isolated communities within Australia. Impacting the lives of 14,000 people and creating over 500 jobs for communities. On the 25th of September 2015 it was announced that the Strategy has been extended for three years to the end of 2018. Total funding for the extension is approximately $80 million.
The RSAS program aims to increase school attendance by working with rural communities to ensure all children are provided with support to attend and remain in school. Research shows that children in remote communities have lower school attendance levels than those in metropolitan areas.
By working closely with families and rural communities, Clariti Group CEO stated “ the whole of our team are very happy to be making an ongoing and substantial impact to the lives of these children and their futures. We have been involved in this project since day one from consultation with Government to the delivery on the ground, coordinating with community members, elders, schools, youth, health and police in each community. We are honoured to serve our clients and community leaders for another year”
Teams work with families and children to bring awareness about the importance of regular school attendance. Practical support is also provided in the form of driving children to school, helping to organise school lunches, uniforms, homework and after-school care.
Clariti Group will be supporting a further 17 regions within the RSAS program. These will include regions such as Gapuwiyak, Maningrida, Ramingining, Milingimbi, Galiwinku, Yirrkala, Numbulwar, Kalkarindji, Yarralin, Ntaria, Papunya, Kowanyama and Normanton.
